Make the forums readable without signing in?

Postby Renee on Fri Aug 21, 2009 10:52 pm

Currently I have the forum set so that you have to sign in to read the threads and posts. Should I keep it this way or should people be able to read (not post) without signing in?

I think I'm going to make the whole forum readable for the time being because like Ashley said, if they can read it first, it might interest them to join. If they can't read anything without registering, they might not want to register.

I think it's a good idea too

But there's also the thought that if they can already read everything.. they may not want to join either?
You could almost change that setting back and forth from time to time, just to grab that particular group of people haha.

I wouldn't know which forums to make readable only if you were a registered user though?
