My favorite book is Blood and Gold by Anne Rice.
If you've read some of her books before, it's about her character Marius.
It's like a biography, just one of a fictional character.
It's part of the vampire chronicals (not at all like twilight, it's more adult reading)
It's a pretty good read and i recommend checking it out, if you haven't already.

I've never been a fan of Anne Rice books. My friend really got into them in high school after Interview with the Vampire came out on film. But it just wasn't my thing.

i've tried to read the vampire chronicals, but i've seen the movies too much and i just can't get into the books. i think i've read all of interview and most of vampire lastat.

i'm hooked on this series by Janet Evanovich about her character Stephanie Plum. She's a 30 yr old divorcee who has to work for her cousin as a bounty hunter. she's not very good, and it's soooooooo funny. she's got this big black former hooker Lula helping her. and I just bust a gut every time i read them.
there's 15 in the series so far (under the mystery section in the book store, they go by numbers, one for the money is the first one).
i highly recommend them. they're an easy read too so it's great for reading on a plane or a car ride. you can get through one in a couple hours.

I really need to read more books. I use to LOVE reading. I remember being in junior high and on Friday at lunch, I would check out the max number of books. We had a reading block during the last period every Friday, so I'd start reading one of my books. Then I'd take them home and read the rest of the weekend away. Sometimes I'd read 3 or 4 books over the course of the weekend....mostly Nancy Drew stuff.

I've found as an adult though, I have a hard time reading an entire book. I skip over things or don't really understand what I"m reading, so I have to re-read things over and over again. Then I get frustrated and just never finish a book.

Out of all the Anne Rice books, Blood and Gold has been the only one i've liked. I was never a fan of the movies either.
I have a friend that totally worships her books though, lol.
One other book that I picked up recently is Oxfords Book of Death.. I think thats the title, i've misplaced the book.
Not the most colourful title but good book none the less.

Yeah, I used to spend so much time reading too, but now, I think I have a hard time concentrating on them because i'm constantly thinking about other things. Like work, what i'll cook tonight, did I feed the cat? ect.
It's frustrating because I really enjoy reading, but I can't find the time to do it.

Maybe that's my problem. When I was in school, I didn't have things to worry about. Now as an adult, I have too many things to think about and it's distracting.
